Debra Jensen is the Vice President of Tax Compliance and Treasury Operations for INSP, a family-entertainment television network headquartered near Charlotte, NC in Indian Land, SC. In addition to her responsibilities at the cable network, she directs tax and treasury activities for various subsidiaries of the parent organization, including the motion picture production company, INSP Films. In her capacity, Debra oversees federal, state and local tax filings for 17 entities across 5 states and 3 foreign countries. Accounts payable, corporate travel, the organization’s purchasing card program, and banking relationships (both domestic and international) are under her purview. Throughout her tenure at INSP, Debra has proven to be a positive role model for her staff by encouraging and facilitating professional development within the industry. She is an active member of WICT Carolinas where she served as a mentor for women in the telecommunications industry. She was awarded a scholarship to the WICT Leadership Conference in 2017 where the industry’s brightest and best receive top tier professional development. She is the 2018 Chapter Treasurer for WICT Carolinas and regularly participates in WICT networking and career development events.
Debra graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and began her career in public accounting with KPMG as an auditor then as a tax accountant. She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Treasury Professional. Born and raised in South Dakota, Debra now calls South Carolina home. She has 3 children and one grandson with another grandchild on the way. She enjoys the outdoors, playing guitar, old cars, and spending time with family and friends.
