Evelyn Galarza is Senior Manager of Public Relations at Time Warner Cable where she works closely with the VP of Public Relations to lead national press outreach for the residential marketing division of the company. In this role she creates press strategies and oversees the overall PR execution for large-scale customer events, community investment initiatives and sponsorship properties. In addition, Evelyn manages external communications efforts for the company’s only Spanish language local news network, TWC News NY1 Noticias.
Evelyn has nearly 15 years of combined agency and corporate communications experience working on behalf of brands across various industries including cable, entertainment, home fashions, food, travel, beer, spirits and consumer packaged goods. She has extensive experience designing and implementing integrated communications programs specifically tailored for US Hispanic consumers and is often tasked with providing cultural insights to help clients and internal stakeholders better understand the market and assist in creating cross-cultural and market-specific campaigns that are meaningful and relevant.
Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Evelyn held various positions with integrated communications agencies including DeVries Global, Citizen Relations and RL Public Relations + Marketing, where she led award-winning campaigns for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Heineken USA, Toyota, and General Mills.
Evelyn is an active member of WICT, NAMIC and currently serves on the National Board of Directors for the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA). She earned a B.A. in Communications and Spanish from SUNY Oswego and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband.
