Geraldine (Gerri) Potts is Vice President, Total Rewards at A+E Networks, with responsibility for leading the company’s compensation and benefits initiatives. She joined A+E in 2017 when the Human Resources team was embarking on the design phase of a global Workday implementation project. Workday is a state-of-the art Human Resources Information System. Gerri’s team was responsible for the successful launch of benefits Open Enrollment and the year-end compensation planning process on the platform.
In the last two years, the team actively participated in multiple RFPs to select and introduce best-in-class providers, including a new 401k provider, Pension Plan actuary, the addition of an online pension administration platform, a retirement plan investment advisor, and benefits broker. Part of Gerri’s responsibility includes sitting on the Retirement Plan Committee of A+E, which monitors fund performance, and makes decisions related to investment fund changes, provider changes and plan design changes for both the 401(k) and Pension plans.
As head of compensation, Gerri seeks to set compensation strategy and ensure competitive and fair compensation at all levels. She has been responsible for the redesign and modification of the annual incentive plan, including the introduction of individual goals for employees whose incentives were previously tied solely to company performance.
This is Gerri’s first role in the media industry. She has enjoyed learning a new business; having spent most of her career in the Retail Fashion industry at Ann Taylor and DKNY, as well as a few years working for various software development companies. Gerri lives on Long Island, New York, with her husband and son.
