My name is Heather Lee Homolash and I am a QA Manager for CPE Devices at Comcast Cable. I have been employed with Comcast for almost 10 years, will be 10 in May, and in my current role for 6 years. I have a Bachelor of Science from Drexel University in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree from Villanova University in Software Engineering.
I spent majority of my career as a QA Engineer, starting at General Instruments working on the first digital interactive set top box, to my current role that includes managing a team performing QA activities on the software for the X1 set top boxes and Flex box. X1 is Comcast’s next generation video settop box that allows users to view live pay TV channels, playback of user selected recorded programs, stream third party apps like Netflix and YouTube, and connect to smart home security systems to view video feed from the comforts of their couch. Flex is a voice controlled 4K streaming device where the user can stream from favorite third party apps like Netflix and Hulu and have access to Comcast On Demand Video catalog.
When not spending time ensuring our customers experience is first class, I enjoy spending time with my German Shepherd Dog. Be it running, walking, or taking her to nose work classes, she is a focal point of my life and spend as much free time with her as possible. Other passions I have include running without my dog and going to the gym. I have developed an interested in fitness and currently studying to be both a canine and human fitness trainer.
