Jillian Laks is the Audience Development Manager for Food.com, where she oversees partnerships, community, social initiatives and traffic-driving strategies. Jillian creates user engagement and brand awareness, while simultaneously achieving critical business targets and ad sales goals for the Scripps Networks Interactive-owned property. In this role Jillian’s key accomplishment has been monetizing the Food.com social presence after growing it 700% and doubling site traffic from social referrers.
Prior to joining Scripps Networks, Jillian was a Digital Marketing Manager at the Financial Times where she worked on global audience development and acquisition marketing with a focus on the mobile app, video, SEO, SEM and data analysis. She also worked in the digital marketing department at Penguin Group and began her career in business development at Meredith Corporation.
Jillian holds a Master’s in Marketing from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in Ireland and a Bachelor’s degree in English/Writing from Marist College. She has a retriever puppy, runs several half marathons a year and is living proof that if you can cook in a New York City apartment, you can cook anywhere.
