Julie Kim currently serves as Vice President and Senior Counsel in the Distribution, Business & Legal Affairs group at Home Box Office, Inc. In this capacity, Julie is responsible for the negotiation of distribution deals for the HBO and Cinemax networks and HBO Max with leading cable, satellite, telco and digital distributors. Since joining HBO, Julie has been a key part of the team involved in HBO’s expansion into digital OTT services. Julie also provides day-to-day legal support, strategic advice and risk analysis to internal stakeholders across the HBO business in connection with the administration of the distribution agreements and related matters.
Prior to joining HBO, Julie was an associate in the New York office of Proskauer Rose LLP where she was a member of the mergers and acquisitions group. Her practice focused on advising private equity and strategic clients on a variety of matters, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments, restructurings and general corporate transactions.
Julie received her B.A. from Northwestern University and her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. Julie resides in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and two children.
