Julie Zied

Julie Zied is the Managing Editor of TV & Entertainment for Comcast’s XFINITY, where she oversees the strategic promotion and programming of entertainment content on XFINITY’s X1 and legacy On Demand platforms. This role puts her in the center of the rapidly evolving and highly competitive world of cable entertainment and time-shifted consumption.

Prior to her current position, Julie managed the TV News blog and TV editorial for Fancast, Comcast’s early adopter streaming video website billed as “the first online destination that enables users to watch, manage, and find entertainment content wherever it is available – on Fancast, on television, online, on DVD or in theaters.” As the TV News blog Senior Editor, Julie conducted and wrote hundreds of original interviews with top industry talent, and oversaw a full staff of freelance writers.

In her pre-Comcast days, Julie worked in television development at the Fuse Network, helping to grow an original programming slate that included the “happily bizarre” series “Pants Off, Dance Off,” and “The Whitest Kids U’Know.”

Julie graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature.

Julie lives in Philadelphia with her fiancé and their three rescue cats. When she’s not multi-screening, she can be found cooking, traveling, and trying her best to get caught up on old New Yorker magazines.
