Karen Rice is a Sr. Manager for the Technology & Network Operations Program Management Office at Time Warner Cable. In her current role, Karen is the portfolio lead for the High Speed Data (HSD) product line and leads a team of Program Managers providing end to end management of strategic HSD initiatives.
Karen began her career in the Cable Telecommunications industry in 1999 as a Project Coordinator for Cable & Wireless. She joined Time Warner Cable in 2001 as a Project Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region. She left to spend a few years in Federal Government consulting for Booz Allen Hamilton and The Mitre Corporation, before returning to Time Warner Cable in 2006 as a Sr. Project Manager. Karen was promoted to Program Manager in 2010 and moved into her current role as Sr. Manager in 2013.
Karen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development & Family Studies from Penn State University and worked in the counseling field prior to making a career change to project management. She obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2007 and is an active member of the Project Management Institute. Karen is a member of the Washington DC chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and is currently serving as the Co-Chair for the Time Warner Cable Women’s Collective.
Karen is a breast cancer survivor who recently celebrated her 5 year cancer free milestone. She resides in Herndon, VA with her 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son.
