Katie Medinger is vice president of advertising sales for Crown Media Family Networks.
Medinger is charged with executing advertising sales strategies to achieve annual revenue targets for Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Hallmark Drama, and the company’s digital and social platforms. She oversees sales performance and assists in negotiating and closing complex sales, including key upfront and scatter deals.
Medinger works closely with her team of four account executives, as well as senior leadership, to manage advertising sales initiatives and relationships across multiple East Coast-based agencies and clients. In addition, she collaborates with ad sales research, as well as Crown Media’s marketing department, Crown Global Brand Group, to develop client-specific sales opportunities that enhance both the client’s and Crown Media’s position in the marketplace.
Medinger joined the company in 2013 as an account executive and was soon elevated to director of ad sales later that year, and then to vice president in 2014. Prior to joining the company, Medinger served as an account executive at BET Networks and REELZ Channel. She began her career in media buying at Hill Holliday in Boston and Mediaedge: CIA in New York, and then made the move to ad sales in a planning role at Oxygen/NBCUniversal. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston College.
Medinger is based in Crown Media’s New York office and reports to Senior Vice President, Ad Sales, Stephanie Versichelli. She currently resides in Connecticut with her husband and son.
