Kitty Kilgore is a career marketing executive, with over thirty-five years’ experience directing marketing campaigns for brands and businesses worldwide. Her career started as a copywriter for an advertising agency and shifted to account management a few years later. Within 5 years Kitty was promoted to executive level, and in 1985 along with the Creative Director launched their own agency, Jones-Kelly & Kilgore. Over the next ten years, they grew the business tenfold and ultimately sold it to a global agency, Cole Henderson Drake. Kitty joined CHD as Vice President Client Services, leading accounts like Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Resorts, Walt Disney World Resorts, Wendy’s and MTV.
In 2009 Kitty made the switch to the client side, joining Cox Communications as Director Retail Marketing, with the charge of driving a new experience-centric retail channel strategy. She is responsible for retail marketing leadership, customer experience and store design for 134 retail locations across the Cox footprint. In 2019, realizing there were great efficiencies and value to be realized in costs averted from outside suppliers, Kitty started the first full-service in-house agency for Cox, The Brand Studio. In its first year, TBS returned 37% efficiency in cost averted from third-party agency fees and achieved a Net Promoter Score of 80 for quality in service, deliverables and creative. As Sr. Director and Business Leader for TBS, Kitty believes it’s equally important to build a culture that fosters comradery and creativity as it is to generate return on investment. Today, The Brand Studio has grown to a top-tier creative team of 30 and is structured as a best-in-class advertising agency.
