Kristen Burns

Kristen Burns is an Executive Producer for HISTORY with credits including Mountain Men, Barbarians Rising, American Ripper, American Pickers, Big History, How the States Got Their Shapes, Vietnam in HD, and Legend of the Superstition Mountains. Previously, Burns was a Producer of short-form and editorial content for HISTORY.com. Prior to joining A+E Networks in 2006, she was the Production Coordinator for the PBS living history series Texas Ranch House. She began her career at Bill Moyers’ shingle, Public Affairs Television, where she was a researcher and outreach specialist for long-form documentary projects including Becoming American: The Chinese Experience. While at PAT, Burns was also an Associate Producer on the critically acclaimed PBS newsmagazine NOW with Bill Moyers, where her work included stories ranging from politics and the environment to the role of media in democracy. She is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
