LaShaun Solomon

LaShaun Solomon has 11 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a track record of growing new and existing businesses. She has a Bachelors degree in Marketing and attained her MBA from Kennesaw State University.

LaShaun is passionate about providing superior client experiences, identifying and implementing new efficiencies and delivering results. LaShaun has been a member of WICT since 2007 and has served on a WICT Board since 2012. Prior to becoming the WICT Southeast Chapter President, LaShaun was the Senior Director of Partnerships. Under her successful leadership, the Southeast chapter met and exceeded their sponsorship revenue goal by 107% for two consecutive years. Additionally, the sponsorships team maintained a stellar retention rate by renewing virtually all sponsors from the previous year as well as creating innovative solutions for returning partner companies. LaShaun was the recipient of the June Travis Fellowship in 2016 for the WICT Leadership Conference and was awarded the WICT Global Chapter Leader of the Year award in 2017.

In her current role at Comcast, LaShaun leads and executes sales effectiveness initiatives that educate and build selling skills of Advertising Sales Teams across the Southeast Region. These initiatives include a focus on product training, tools training, and go-to-market solutions positioning. LaShaun represents her department as a problem solver, innovator and change agent who excels in analytical and critical thinking skills.

Prior to joining Comcast, LaShaun worked at HBO as a Sales Development Executive, where she supported 20+ MSO and cable outsourced vendor call centers across a ten state territory. She managed all phases of services provided by 3,000+ customer service representatives for eight different cable service providers. LaShaun negotiated and executed quarterly point of sale incentive deals that generated an annual revenue of over $66 million and created successful incentive promotions that drove HBO sales 123% above business as usual.

Previously, LaShaun was a Marketing Coordinator at Cox Communications. She developed and executed multi-tactical direct marketing programs and campaigns across the Gulf Coast and Central Florida markets focused on acquisition, loyalty, and retention. Her additional responsibilities included working collaboratively with the sales, retention, field and retail teams and translating their needs into marketing materials and effective internal communication resources. To mobilize and enhance employee’s access to industry competitor information, she launched and managed the first regional competitive intranet site and employee text message platform. To further align efforts supporting the regions competitive readiness focus, LaShaun also created and implemented the system’s first regional employee incentive program based on the gathering of competitive intelligence.
