Laura Galietta is Vice President, Ad Sales Marketing for Food Network and Fine Living. In her role, is responsible for forging strategic alliances with advertisers and leading the ad sales marketing staff for both networks. Galietta oversees the development of customized multi-platform solutions for clients designed to stimulate incremental revenue, build strong promotional relationships with network advertising partners, and create marketing partnerships that leverage sponsors’ marketing and media to drive programming, tune-in, and brand awareness. She and her team also identify opportunities in consumer campaigns to attract advertisers to the networks and promote viewer awareness of client sponsorship of priority programs. She manages the creative and development process for innovative marketing tools designed to help support sales’ efforts within the ad community during the Upfront and Scatter markets. In addition, she led the Scripps Networks’ 2006-07 National Ad Sales Upfront Road Show (a 10 city tour). Prior to joining Scripps Networks, Galietta served as VP, Consumer Marketing at National Geographic Channel, where she built awareness, distribution and promoted the network to consumers and all business constituents. She also identified channel programming priorities and developed targeted promotion and media plans to maximize viewership and drive tune-in. Before National Geographic, she worked at Turner Classic Movies, where she was VP, Strategic Partnerships and Promotions and developed promotional strategies and brand building partnerships for both the network and online groups to increase awareness for key programming initiatives. This included forging relationships with both internal entities such as (HBO, Time Inc. Warner Bros. New Line Cinema, AOL) and external partners like (Barnes & Noble, Samsung, and Movie Studios such as 20th Century Fox, Universal and Sony/Columbia). She also held posts as Director of Interactive Marketing and Director of Affiliate Marketing at Turner. Galietta’s accolades include a “40 Under 40” nod from Advertising Age in 2006, as well as assorted CTAM and Promax Awards. She received her bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in New York and has been an active member in CTAM and WICT for the past 10 years. Laura resides in Brooklyn, NY. |
