Lauren Baynes

Lauren Baynes is Vice President of Content Distribution Marketing at Scripps Networks Interactive. She serves as the marketing lead for multiple content distribution partners including Charter Communications, Verizon, Samsung and Delta to name a few.  In her role, Lauren builds co-branded marketing campaigns with her partners across TV, digital, social, print, retail and out-of-home platforms.

 

Baynes was promoted from Director to Vice President in 2016 after proving herself with increased account responsibly and successful execution of marketing partnerships. Prior to working with SNI, she worked at WWE in Stamford, CT as Senior Director of Affiliate Relations, where her primary role was overseeing pay-per-view marketing for all domestic distribution partners in an effort to drive sales.  At WWE, she was selected to be a part of their internal leadership development program, Brass Ring

 

Prior to WWE, Baynes was the Manager and then Director of Network Sales at BBC Worldwide where she was responsible for increasing linear distribution for their four networks with cable, satellite and telco providers. She was also selected as one of seven employees to participate in BBC’s yearlong leadership program, Aspire

 

As Manager of Distribution and Field Marketing at Lifetime Networks, she negotiated carriage agreements with small to mid-sized cable affiliates, sold local ad sales promotions and managed affiliate relations for Comcast Cable at a regional level. Her career with SNI has come now full circle. Baynes started her career at Scripps Networks Interactive in 2005 as the Affiliate Sales Assistant for the Northeast affiliate sales and local ad sales team. This is where she built her knowledge and passion for the media industry.

 

Baynes graduated from the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor in Business Administration with a focus on real estate.  She was a Hope Scholarship and Dean’s List recipient, in addition to being President and Treasurer of her national sorority, Pi Beta Phi.

 

As a member of WICT since 2005, Baynes has been active in the organization by attending multiple events including the leadership conference, the Leading with Power and Authenticity executive leadership series and numerous touchstone luncheons. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, skiing, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
