Laurie Hallas is a Credit & Collections Manager at Comcast. Since March of 2011 she has been responsible for reducing West Division Bad Debt and Non-Pay Churn. Laurie leads the Commercial (Business) Collections Group and the Nesting/Onboarding department, which transitions New Hire employees to the Collections call center floor.
Laurie has led initiatives for reducing Division Deposit Compliance, and co-managed L.E.A.P. (Leaders Engaged in Accelerating Performance), a six month leadership skill development and mentorship program for high potential Agents and Supervisors. She has also worked cross-functionally to build a formal Supervisor Onboarding program for newly promoted leaders.
Prior to joining Comcast, she spent over twenty years in the credit card industry with Discover Card. She managed departments and initiatives in Collections, Customer Service, New Accounts, Training and Human Resources in Columbus, OH and Salt Lake City, UT.
Laurie has a B.A. in Communications from The Ohio State University. An avid college football fan, she and her husband spend fall weekends enthusiastically cheering on the Buckeyes with their two rescued Saint Bernard’s, their lab mix, and cats Sherlock and Einstein. Laurie is a self- proclaimed "foodie" who enjoys cooking, entertaining, reading and distance walking.
