Lucia Del Rio is the Sr. Director of Customer Service at GCI. She manages the following teams: Customer Service and Technical Support call center, Provisioning, Wireless Support, and Collections/Quality Assurance/Lifeline. Lucia oversees the daily operations of all teams; she works with various internal departments to ensure our customers have a good customer experience. Lucia has led, designed, and launched various products and system conversions throughout her career at GCI.
Lucia started her telecom career in 1998 in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, where she learned all aspects of TV, Internet, Wireless and Local Services. She progressed to Circuit Provisioning Specialist where she attended various Voice/Internet Switch training programs. She was promoted to lead the Circuit Provisioning team where she managed the provisioning and support of all products. She was the department lead of Billing, Order Entry, Provisioning, and Facilities Management system conversion. She also traveled to remote sites in Alaska to complete audits and trained Field Service Technicians on switch line administration. Lucia generated performance goals and developed and conducted a training and mentoring program for new Circuit Provisioning Specialists.
Lucia joined GCI as the Retail Store Manager where she implemented floor & sales tools and customer experience improvements with retail store specialists. Lucia progressed to Sr. Manager, Service Delivery and Technical Product Support and was promoted to Sr. Director.
Lucia grew up in Mexico where she lived until she was 16 years old, she moved to Dutch Harbor, Alaska in 1996 and to Anchorage in 2006, where she currently resides.
