Mennelle Straight McCahill

Mennelle heads up the production and operations team for creative services, Scripps Networks Interactive home category.  This includes HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country. Responsible for the business end of the marketing process, she oversees the department budget, workflow, shoot production, and post-production. In addition, she manages vendors, negotiates contracts, secures releases and licenses, and supervises resource management. Her group provides all the logistical, project management, and production support for a creative team of thirty people.

Mennelle has been with Scripps Networks Interactive for 10 years and has a degree in communications and Spanish from Flagler College. She started her career working in front of the camera, but after a few shoots quickly realized that she would rather be the person running things behind the scenes! Mennelle started as an assistant at the PBS headquarters in Washington D.C., and worked her way up to creative services producer.  She moved to Knoxville for the opportunity to head up the newly created production team for HGTV Creative Services.

As a military kid, Mennelle moved around the world, but now calls Knoxville "more or less home". She lives in a historic house with her two sons, a bulldog and a decrepit cat. When she is not working, she stays very busy juggling all the things that come along with an old house, two boys, a bulldog, and a decrepit cat.
