Meredith MacNeill can currently be seen as co-creator, writer, producer, and star of CBC’s award-winning hit sketch comedy series Baroness von Sketch Show. The series and its all-female cast offer a satirical take on modern life’s everyday concerns. IFC announced its acquisition of the series, and it can also be seen on Netflix. Baroness von Sketch Show has received much critical acclaim during its existing run on CBC, culminating in twelve Canadian Screen Awards, as well as numerous ACTRA and Canadian Comedy Awards.
MacNeill has also been featured in many film and TV projects both in Canada and the UK. Some of her work includes Your Money or Your Wife, Big News from Grand Rock, Peep Show, Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, Confetti, Man Stroke Woman and the satirical news program This Hour Has 22 Minutes, where she has been a writer and regular cast member. After graduating from a three-year acting program at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London England, MacNeill began working with the Royal Shakespeare Company. MacNeill later went on to work with Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Theatre de Complicite, Bush, and Arcola Theatre in London.
