Rachel Snyder is the director of social media at Crown Media Family Networks. Based in the company’s Los Angeles office, Snyder reports to Vice President, Social Media, Angela Megrey.
Snyder is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic social media and digital initiatives that raise visibility for and fan engagement with Hallmark’s signature brand of entertainment, with a particular focus on the company’s linear network Hallmark Drama, subscription video on demand streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now, and publishing division, Hallmark Publishing social platforms and is responsible for spearheading and producing Social Live events with talent for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. In this role, she works in tandem with the social media team and internal stakeholders to effectively message current promotions, attract new consumers to the company and its various established media platforms, and to quickly and effectively handle crisis management.
She joined the company in 2018 from Disney|ABC Television where she was lead strategist, integrated marketing, unscripted working on linear, social and digital branded content solutions for “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, “The Bachelor” franchise, specials like “American Music Awards” and the relaunch of “American Idol” for the network. Previously, she served in account executive roles at Ketchum and PMK•BNC.
Snyder holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Boston University. She is an active member of WICT and was recognized by Cynopsis Media as a Social Media Groundbreaker in 2021.
