Rebecca Simpson serves as Director of International Strategy and Programming for Comcast Cable, Multicultural Services. In this role, she leads new product development, programming, packaging, pricing and marketing strategy for international video, high speed data, digital voice and Xfinity Home services. Rebecca works collaboratively with content providers to curate and deliver original and premium content via multiple distribution platforms.
In her two years with Comcast, she has launched multiple exclusive international video on demand suites and Xfinity.com/asia, which delivers award-winning films, exclusive shorts, TV shows, bios and blogs featuring Asian and Asian-American entertainers, writers and filmmakers. Under her leadership, the Comcast Multicultural Services team has achieved nine awards recognizing excellence in multi-ethnic marketing.
Prior to joining Comcast, Rebecca spent nine years at DISH Network, most recently serving as General Manager of Channel and Strategic Partner Marketing. During her tenure, she directed the company’s merchandising and retail marketing strategy teams and partnership co-op programs. At DISH, she established the company’s first marketing supply chain management department, reengineered the retail merchandising and co-op systems, and spearheaded the launch of the DISH Puerto Rico product line and brand. Rebecca held several other positions, including the role of Senior Marketing Lead at DaVita Health Care Partners directing the company’s first clinical marketing program. In this role, she was instrumental in integrating clinical initiatives with patient education programs to improve clinical outcomes. One of these initiatives included producing the multiple award-winning ‘Kidney Smart’ magazine and direct-to-patient educational series.
Rebecca graduated from Southern Illinois University degree with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media – Photography & Cinema. She received an MBA with a focus in Marketing from Phoenix University.
