Bree Hunter is the TV Commercial Operations Manager for DiY Network at Scripps Networks in Knoxville, Tennessee. Her team is responsible for coordinating ad sales, programming and promotion priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy in order to deliver the broadcast schedule for air.
After spending a few years working in the local arts industry, Bree began her career in broadcasting at Scripps in 2008. She has been a member of the DiY, Travel, Great American Country and HGTV teams within the department, allowing her to develop an appreciation for the nuances that come with working for each network. She returned to her DiY roots as the manager in 2015.
As a manager, Bree has focused her efforts on analyzing and evaluating processes in order to streamline workflow and protect revenue. She works diligently to develop interdepartmental relationships and ensure that her employees have opportunities to grow. Driven by the desire to connect, Bree curated a series of presentations for the department (TVCO Talks), bringing in representatives from other departments to share who they are, what they do, how it relates to what the TVCO department does and how it impacts Scripps.
Bree graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Art History and a minor in Business. She has been an active member of WICT Southeast for the past three years and has participated as a mentor in the WICT Student Mentoring Program and in the Scripps Mentoring Experience.
