I was born and raised in a middle class family that followed the Hindu way of living virtuously and righteously in a small town in Telangana, Southern India. My dad was a mechanical engineer and my mom was a home maker. There was very little awareness on how the West was progressing. Because my mom never got to work, she and my dad always made sure that my siblings and I got the best education that they could afford. My parents did not see a difference between raising a girl and a boy even though others at that time would only send boys to the school and not invest in a girl’s education. I would see my dad and mom putting in a lot of hard work to make ends meet and that motivated me to excel at my academics. That was the only way I saw as a child to give back to them. I got in to a very good Engineering college and finished my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Hyderabad, India. I worked close to 4 years in IT in India and then headed to the USA with my husband in 2007. It was an opportunity with MasterCard, St. Louis that brought us here.
I came to the US and obtained a Masters in Computer Science. I can describe myself as an analytical, innovative and results-oriented professional with over 15 years of experience spanning around various facets of IT and business. My experience includes:
Partnering with business to set direction on how technology can accelerate business strategy. Being highly skilled in providing Enterprise and Solution Architectures, leadership across broad system and software technologies for Master Data Management, Data Warehouse and Data Analytics groups. I love leading and serving my team and others. I teach and mentor women from various backgrounds who aspire or are new to IT. My husband and I have two boys, 10 and 4 year old. We love to spend time with each other by cooking, reading, having movie nights etc.
