Tanya Visano is the Senior Director of Consumer Products, Canada for Viacom International Media Networks. In this role, Tanya leads all merchandising (licensing, category management), marketing, creative direction and sales for the Nickelodeon and Viacom (MTV/Comedy Central) portfolios in the Canadian market. Bringing her passion for innovation, Tanya has been focused on overhauling the Canadian creative and product development direction. She has led the strategy of category optimization for the market to ensure resources are properly aligned to reduce time and cost, while maximizing growth opportunities.
Tanya believes she has a blend of right/left brain qualities – having a strong creative side and business acumen. Many advertising campaigns stemmed from her ideation – one of her true passions. In 2012, her team launched the first global augmented reality retail campaign for Nickelodeon.
She believes in setting goals and achieving them – not only for herself but for her team. Her personal goals have included running half marathons. Running is truly a form of stress relief and her environmentalism and zest for healthy eating is certainly something she reinforces with the team.
