Terri Sempiti is currently a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at Viacom, Inc. In this role, she oversees the budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for all Corporate and Shared Services departments with an expense base of about $2B. Departments include Ad Sales, Legal, Consumer Insights, HR, Core Services, Finance, etc. She partners with each department from a financial perspective to help achieve their business and strategic objectives, while providing insight on how these groups impact operations. Her client base consists of Viacom’s C-Suite, the heads of each Department, and the heads of each Operating Group.
During Terri’s nine years at Viacom, she has progressed through various roles within Finance, beginning first in the Controller’s organization, as Director, and then Senior Director of Financial Reporting. From there, she became the Domestic Brand Controller, overseeing accounting for the Operating Groups of Viacom Media Networks, a division of Viacom, Inc., before landing in her current position in Financial Planning & Analysis.
Prior to her experience in the Entertainment and Media sector, Terri held accounting positions in the Pharmaceutical industry, and began her career as an auditor at KPMG. She graduated from Montclair State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant with twenty years of experience in Accounting and Finance. Throughout the years, she has been heavily involved in Process Improvement, Team Building, Financial System Conversions and Project Management.
Terri lives in Totowa, NJ with her husband Wayne. She spends spare time doing things she is most passionate about: listening to music, traveling, reading memoirs, and studying wine.
