Vickie Fiala is the Vice President of Business Operations Planning for Time Warner Cable. In this role, Vickie owns business operations planning for commercial and residential Digital Phone service, including program management; risk analysis; business continuity; backbone and network capacity planning; and supplier management.
Vickie joined Time Warner Cable in 2004 bringing over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to assuming her current role, Vickie was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Time Warner Cable’s Digital Phone VoIP network. Preceding Time Warner Cable, Vickie held key positions at Winstar Communications and U S West. As Senior Director of Engineering at Winstar, Vickie facilitated the engineering, build, and activation of a competitive local exchange network, offering local and long distance service to business and government customers in forty metropolitan cities. Vickie began her career at U S West, starting as an outside plant technician in the Midwest, and advancing her career through the organization to become Manager of Central Office Engineering where she led a team of engineers responsible for engineering digital voice switches, fiber-optic transmission equipment, and DC battery plants for more than two hundred central offices in Minnesota and Utah.
Vickie has been an active member of WICT since 2006 and a Washington/Baltimore Board member since 2007. Vickie is a graduate of BMLI, Class XIX and maintains a strong presence in key leadership and development opportunities for women in the cable industry. Vickie is also an active member of the NAMIC Mid-Atlantic Chapter and SCTE.
