In partnership with WICT, the Walter Kaitz Foundation is pleased to offer a select number of scholarships to attend WICT’s renowned 2019 Senior Executive Summit at Stanford GSB, and we invite you to encourage the top women (SVP level and above) at your company to apply.

Designed exclusively for the cable industry’s top-ranking women executives, this master class immersion program combines the power of WICT’s proven leadership development programs with the excellence of Stanford’s top-rated business school. Taught by the world’s leading experts at Stanford, the 2019 WICT Senior Executive Summit will fully engage participants in strategies and case studies that reinforce business acumen and workplace power and influence.

The deadline for submitting your SES scholarship application is January 31, 2020.

To apply for the scholarship, as a candidate you must be employed by a company which is an NCTA member and must meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • Candidate’s place of employment must be geographically outside of a major metropolitan area;
  • Candidate must work in a company employing 200 employees or less;
  • Candidate must work at a company which is independently owned and not publicly traded;
  • For those candidate working for a cable operator, the company must have less than 250,000 subscribers.(Cable suppliers, online media and advertisers are ineligible for scholarships) 

In addition, because the curriculum for this program is rigorous and fast-paced, we only offer it to cable’s highest ranking women. Baseline requirements for applying are:

  • Candidate a top-ranking woman within the company.
  • Candidate has at least 13 years of executive management experience.
  • Candidate is Senior Vice President to C-suite title, or equivalency thereof.

The Agile Leader: Building and Managing Innovative Teams

Presented in partnership with the Stanford Graduate School of Business and designed exclusively for the cable industry’s most senior women executives, the WICT Senior Executive Summit (SES) debuted in March 2013 to enthusiastic reviews from the inaugural class. This master class immersion program combines the power of WICT’s proven leadership development programs with the excellence of Stanford’s top-rated business school.
In 2015 WICT and the Stanford Graduate School of Business focused on The Agile Leader, empowering participants with the latest techniques to navigate complex management issues.
Taught by Stanford’s leading professors in business and leadership, the 2015 WICT Senior Executive Summit confronted the critical areas of agile leadership focusing on designing and leading highly effective teams, power and relationships, forecasting risk and opportunity, leading innovation, engaging through vision, and technology advances.
In addition to new content from popular returning faculty, such as Professors Deborah Gruenfeld, Maggie Neale and Huggy Rao, the 2015 SES introduced participants to other renowned Stanford GSB faculty and Silicon Valley business leaders. We were thrilled to take our first SES field trip as we visited the Apple Campus. There, attendees were given a special presentation showcasing Apple’s renowned culture of innovation.

The 2013 Senior Executive Summit (SES) took place March 10-14 at the Stanford campus in Palo Alto, CA. During this program, the highest-ranking women in cable honed their leadership skills and learned advanced techniques for furthering innovation within a company; reviewed findings in neuroscience and the connection to exemplary leadership; and discussed the important role conflict can play in team relationships.

In addition to the esteemed Stanford faculty, Padmasree Warrior, Chief Technology & Strategy Officer of Cisco Systems, joined the lineup of speakers and instructors, inspiring program attendees with her very personal insights into strategy, technology and leadership.

Following the successful debut of the program, WICT is pleased to announce that the dates of the 2014 program will be March 16-20, 2014, to be held on the campus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business in Palo Alto, CA. In 2014, WICT and Stanford will once again collaboratively develop a continuing curriculum to provide fresh and engaging content.
