Regional Vice President of Sales
Amy Nisenson is a Regional Vice President for Effectv, the data-driven, media sales division of Comcast Advertising. She is a creative and transformative leader of leaders with expertise in advanced advertising and marketing solutions, while consistently delivering results during times of change.
Before joining Effectv, Amy worked for Tegna/Gannett Media, CBS Television and Tribune Media in a variety of leadership roles related to media sales and research.
Amy has a passion for making DE&I part of our everyday ecosystem at work and in our communities. She does this as a member of the Ally Network at Comcast. She is a member of the OUT @ Comcast Employee Resource Group, The Women’s Network Employee Resource Group, and the CHIEF Network. Amy also facilitates an “Allyship in Action” course which allows her to guide employees on how to put DE&I concepts into real world practice.
In addition to her professional work, Amy is a Commissioner on the Seattle Sports Commission (https://www.seattlesports.org), President of the Alumni Council for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Denver (https://liberalarts.du.edu/) and served as the board chair of the childhood literacy organization Book Trust. (www.booktrust.org/)
She is a frequent guest speaker at different colleges and universities including Drexel University and her alma mater, The University of Denver. Speaking with college students about her experience of “failing forward” gives her a tremendous sense of purpose.
At the University of Denver, Amy recently established a leadership grant program within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to incentivize students to pursue leadership roles inside of student and academic organizations. Supporting new and emerging leaders at the collegiate level is her way of giving back in honor of the support she received when she was a student.
Amy moved to the Seattle, Washington area from Denver, Colorado in 2019 with her husband Kyle and their very spoiled black lab, Angus. Her son, Nicholas, is a recent graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder and a current HR professional. Her daughter, Elizabeth, is a chemistry and food science major at Colorado State University.
Amy enjoys travel, exceptional wine, and good friends. She is a fan of all sports, but especially Division I College Hockey and WNBA/NBA Basketball. Years ago, she was a nationally ranked poker player, but currently feeds her competitive spirit by trying to improve her tragically sad game of golf.
